Cranial Sacral Therapist

Alexa Mercado

Alexa has lived in Humboldt for over 25 years. Her love for the ocean, backpacking, hiking and a student of personal growth has led her down many paths.

Alexa was a chef at Heartwood Institute, a healing arts school, allowing her to experience several healing modalities including; a variety of bodywork (including Craniosacral therapy), meditation, yoga, wholistic nutrition, and food preparation, and a variety of movement practices.

This experience led her to study meditation and Tibetan Buddhism, which in turn led to her chance to meet with Cherionna Menzam-Sills and study Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy with her. Alexa went on to get a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at HSU.

She has continued her education in Craniosacral Therapy with a variety of training in the Bay Area.

Alexa has been practicing Craniosacral Therapy for 13 years and is always in awe of the the powerful effect it is able to have on her clients.

Alexa enjoys taking long hikes in nature, growing delicious veggies and fruits in her garden, and enjoying sunsets with her husband, Thorsten, and their two dogs, Buddy and Frida.

Alexa looks forward to meeting you and invites you to come to relax and unwind in a profoundly nourishing Craniosacral session.
