Myofascial release is a massage technique used to stretch the connective tissue (fascia) to help provide long-lasting shifts in the body.  These techniques are a bit different from your typical massage strokes- these strokes are used with just water on the skin at the beginning of the session to help warm and stretch the tissues. It helps provide long-lasting shifts in the bottom from chronic pain patterns. And bonus, it feels really good!
